We are incredibly proud of all the students we have worked with since we opened in 2005. Mel is passionate about supporting and developing new talent in the North West and has secured representation for talented child and adult actors with RARE TALENT, ICON, PHA YOUTH, WGM, MCCLEAN WILLIAMS and SHEPHERD MANAGEMENT. We generally run with school terms and the classes focus on all aspects of acting including improvisation, creating believable characters, approaching a script, acting for tv, film and theatre, stage combat, vocal techniques and too many to mention. Classes are informal and fun with the focus on developing each individual actor towards their own personal goals. Whenever possible we like to hire staff that have attended Meladrama at the start of their careers – and several of these pupils feature on our Alumni page.

At PlayAct Drama School we have developed a Drama and Theatre experience where children and young people can socially interact, connect and enjoy learning to act, write, make or find props, engage with others and simply pretend. At PlayAct we meet students exactly where they are at. PlayAct Academy is the brainchild of Adrienne Lee, a specialist educator in drama, theatre, and performance with over 20 years of experience in the sector. IMPACTORS Theatre is a performing arts programme designed for young people 12 – 18 years, to refine and enhance your skills, whether you are interested in drama, acting, writing, improvision, stagecraft, costumes, event production or direction. We have such a great team at PlayAct Drama School. To ensure your child’s safety we operate under Government guidelines for the management of Covid-19.

A Little Dramatic is a fun, highly engaging class for children aged 3-5, that educates and provides great opportunities for your child to develop (all whilst having a truly fun time!). At A Little Dramatic, we believe that all children should have the opportunity to explore their creativity and imaginations through drama. Our classes are designed to help children cooperate and communicate effectively, take risks with awareness and control, and show sensitivity and creativity. We believe that every child has the potential to succeed in life, and our goal is to help them reach their full potential. At the heart of the sessions however is the idea of “serious fun” – playing with self-control.
